2K has officially revealed the cover athletes for NBA 2K27, the latest installment in the long-running basketball video game franchise developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K. Leading this year’s editions are NBA superstar Victor Wembanyama, WNBA sensation Caitlin Clark, and Chicago Bulls legend Derrick Rose, each representing a different version of the game.

San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama, who became the NBA’s first unanimous Defensive Player of the Year, headlines the Standard Edition. Caitlin Clark, the Indiana Fever guard, 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year, and three-time WNBA All-Star starter, graces the Deluxe Edition, marking another milestone for women’s basketball. Meanwhile, former NBA MVP Derrick Rose is featured on the limited-time Ultra Edition, celebrating his enduring legacy in the sport.

NBA 2K27 officially launches on September 4, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, and Nintendo Switch 2. Players who purchase the Deluxe or Ultra Editions will receive Early Access beginning August 28, 2026.

“Victor Wembanyama, Caitlin Clark, and Derrick Rose each come from different worlds, but they share the same obsession that has altered the trajectory of the game,” said Zak Armitage, Senior Vice President and General Manager of NBA 2K. He noted that each athlete has redefined basketball in their own way, making them fitting ambassadors for this year’s title.

Wembanyama described appearing on the cover as a dream come true, saying NBA 2K has become a platform where players study and live the game beyond the court. Clark shared that becoming the first WNBA player to receive her own global NBA 2K cover is a proud moment that highlights the continued growth of women’s basketball. Rose reflected on his journey from appearing on the NBA 2K13 cover to earning his own edition, saying he hopes his story inspires young athletes to remain dedicated despite setbacks.

NBA 2K27 is available in three editions:

  • Standard Edition – ₱2,920, featuring Victor Wembanyama.
  • Deluxe Edition – ₱3,950, featuring Caitlin Clark, with 100,000 VC, MyCAREER and MyTEAM bonus content, plus Early Access.
  • Ultra Edition – ₱5,400, featuring Derrick Rose, available for a limited time through September 6, 2026. It includes everything in the Deluxe Edition along with additional VC, Season Pass content, exclusive MyCAREER and MyTEAM rewards, and Early Access.

Players can now pre-order NBA 2K27 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, while Nintendo Switch 2 users can add the game to their wishlist. Existing NBA 2K26 players who pre-order the Ultra Edition on the same platform are also eligible for a 10% loyalty discount.

Developed by Visual Concepts, NBA 2K27 is rated E for Everyone by the ESRB. Fans can expect more gameplay details and feature announcements in the weeks leading up to launch.
