Lifestyle editor and host Raul Manzano heads to the picturesque Lagen Island in El Nido, Palawan, where nature, culture, and luxury come together in the latest episode of “EIC On The Move,” airing Sunday (July 26) at 8 p.m. on Metro Channel.

The episode takes viewers inside the renowned Lagen Island Resort, beginning with a tour of one of its signature water villas inspired by the traditional bahay kubo and the rich heritage of Palawan’s indigenous Batak community. Raul also visits a forest-themed suite featuring a relaxing bathtub and sweeping views of the beach.

His island adventure continues at the resort’s distinctive boathouse, designed to resemble the hull of a ship and transformed into an elegant cocktail lounge overlooking the sea. He also explores the resort’s conservation center, where guests can learn about the history of El Nido and Lagen Island, while “The Makers of Lagen” highlights the craftsmanship of local artisans whose work reflects the island’s cultural identity.

Food is another highlight of the journey as Raul enjoys a floating boodle fight breakfast served on the water, offering a uniquely Filipino dining experience amid stunning island scenery.

For thrill-seekers, the episode showcases some of the resort’s signature adventures at a secluded private cove. Raul experiences the Manta Tow Adventure, gliding above vibrant coral reefs, and the Subnado Sea Glide, an underwater scooter that allows guests to explore the marine environment with ease.

The tropical escape concludes with an exclusive dinner inside a hidden cave, where Executive Chef Ric Ramos prepares a specially curated meal in one of the island’s most memorable settings.
