Original Pilipino Music (OPM) band Silent Sanctuary has sold out its first major solo arena concert, “Gabi ng Lambing,” just five hours after tickets went on sale, marking a significant milestone in the band’s 24-year career.
The concert is set for October 25, 2026, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena and celebrates more than two decades of the band’s music through a production featuring the Manila Symphony Orchestra, Viva Voce, and surprise guest performers.
Following the rapid sellout, the band thanked fans for their overwhelming support.
“Gusto kong tumalon-tumalon sa saya. See you all on October 25! Gagalingan namin para sulit ang suporta at pagmamahal ninyo. Maraming salamat!” the band posted on its official Facebook page.
A career milestone
Vocalist and guitarist Raymund “Sarkie” Sarangay described the sold-out concert as the pinnacle of the band’s journey.
“This is the peak of our career. Five years ago, we were already wishing and talking about this. It’s perfect timing because time has improved us, and this time, we aim to give fans a good experience,” he said.
Although Silent Sanctuary has previously performed in major venues such as the Mall of Asia Arena, Smart Araneta Coliseum, and Philippine Arena as guest performers, Sarkie said this concert is different because it will feature the band exclusively.
The show will include approximately 30 original songs, accompanied by a full orchestra, with no cover performances.
New chapter for the band
Silent Sanctuary currently consists of:
- Raymund “Sarkie” Sarangay – vocals and guitar
- Anjo Inacay – cello
- Allen Calixto – drums
- Kim Mirandilla-Ng – violin
- Ronnie Ropal – bass
- Poch Villalon – synthesizers and backing vocals
Cellist Anjo Inacay said the current lineup has brought renewed energy and creative direction to the band.
“Parang nabigyan kami ng bagong direction with Kim on violin, Ronnie on bass, and Poch on keyboards. We feel like we can do more with our old and new music,” he said.
Orchestra-backed performances
Directed by Paolo Valenciano with Ria Osorio serving as musical director, “Gabi ng Lambing” will feature new arrangements of Silent Sanctuary’s catalog, combining the band’s signature blend of rock and classical music with a full orchestra and choir.
The concert’s sold-out status underscores the enduring popularity of Silent Sanctuary’s music, which has soundtracked moments of love, heartbreak, nostalgia, and healing for generations of Filipino listeners.
Beyond the concert, the band also announced a new partnership with Wrangler Philippines, alongside collaborations with TTP Events, Numinous Philippines, Variant Productions, Tala Entertainment, and Universal Records Philippines.
