To commemorate its 100th anniversary, Colgate launched the “Every Colgate Smile Has a Story” campaign, a collection of real-life stories from individuals across the Asia-Pacific region that highlight the power of care, connection, and protection through everyday moments.
Among the featured stories is Pia Duran, a Filipino ESL teacher working in Vietnam to provide for her family back home. Despite the challenges of being separated from her son, Pia finds comfort in a cherished memory they once shared—the familiar “Brush, Brush, Brush” song. Today, she teaches the same song to her students, carrying forward a tradition that reminds her of the bond she shares with her child and the enduring role of care, even across distances.
Another touching story centers on a Filipino grandmother working overseas who stays connected to her loved ones through thoughtfully packed balikbayan boxes. Among the items she regularly sends are small tubes of Colgate toothpaste for her granddaughter—simple gifts that symbolize affection, protection, and the desire to remain present in her family’s daily life despite being far from home.
These stories form part of a broader campaign that celebrates the everyday acts of love and protection that define family relationships. Through authentic and personal experiences, Colgate highlights how trust is built not only through products but also through the moments shared across generations.
