TP in the Philippines (formerly Teleperformance) celebrated Women’s Month with a series of meaningful initiatives that promoted empowerment, intersectionality, and leadership through its global employee network, TP Women. These efforts underscore the company’s continued commitment to fostering inclusive workplaces where women can thrive both personally and professionally.
TP Women serves as a platform for women across the organization to be heard, supported, and empowered in their personal development and career growth.
Strengthening Inclusivity, Empowerment, and Workplace Policies
One of the key Women’s Month initiatives was “Harmony Queentuhan,” a culture and belonging program that created a safe and open space for women employees to share their experiences and reflect on intersectionality in the workplace.
The discussions focused on understanding who women are beyond their professional and personal roles, recognizing how their personal responsibilities and realities intersect with work life and shape their overall workplace experiences. The dialogue also allowed participants to explore ideas for strengthening policies and expanding opportunities for women to grow and lead.
TP in the Philippines also reinforced its commitment to creating a safe and inclusive workplace through its “Building a Safer, More Inclusive Workplace for Women at TP” toolkit. This material outlines the company’s resources, policies, and support systems for women employees, covering important provisions such as the Anti-Sexual Harassment Policy, Battered Women Leave, and the Magna Carta for Women.
Capping off the Women’s Month celebration was the “EmpowerHER Leadership Summit,” the organization’s flagship event that brought together leaders, advocates, and allies across TP in the Philippines to discuss the realities women face in the workplace—especially in an era increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence.
Women in Leadership and the Future of AI
TP in the Philippines also participated in the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines’ (ECCP) International Women’s Day celebration, “Women Who Shape Tomorrow: Giving to Gain Progress,” where Toni Tompar, Executive Vice President for Operations, delivered an impactful message on the future of women in leadership.
A key theme of her address was the relationship between emotional intelligence (EI) and artificial intelligence (AI). Tompar encouraged leaders to rethink traditional corporate structures and embrace more human-centered leadership approaches to better navigate the evolving workplace landscape.
She emphasized that the most progressive teams prioritize outcome-driven behavior and performance, creating environments where women can succeed without being limited by outdated workplace structures.
“It’s important we look at what we call the ‘invisible backpack’ that women continue to carry such as time constraints, social expectations, and physical circumstances,” Tompar said. “These are barriers that greatly affect the opportunities we have to focus on and further our careers.”
Her message encouraged organizations to support and mentor emerging women leaders, break down barriers, and champion inclusion as a core foundation of modern business leadership.
Operations Vice President Nina Kristine Abad also joined the ECCP forum as a panelist, sharing valuable insights on supporting women leaders and building inclusive workplace practices.
TP likewise participated in the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Philippines’ (CCIFP) forum, “Inclusive Intelligence: Women Advancing AI for Philippine Development.”
The session highlighted how female leadership plays a vital role in ensuring that AI development remains equitable and inclusive in the Philippines, reinforcing the importance of women’s voices in shaping responsible, people-centered technological progress.
“At TP in the Philippines, inclusion is not a one-time effort. It’s something we continuously build into how we support our people. When individuals feel seen and valued, they are empowered to grow and lead,” said Rachel Cacabelos, Vice President for Human Resources at TP.
As the future of work continues to evolve, TP in the Philippines remains committed to setting the standard for workplace inclusivity and women empowerment in the IT-BPM industry. Through equitable opportunities, community support, and sustained leadership development, the organization continues to create pathways for women to thrive and succeed.
