Six-day culinary and cultural festival brings together world-renowned chefs, acclaimed mixologists, immersive dining concepts, and live entertainment in one of Vietnam’s most iconic luxury destinations

From June 6 to 11, 2026, InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort will present Artisan Stories, a six-day festival built around the theme Art Meets Gastronomy, offering guests an immersive celebration of culinary artistry, creativity, and culture.

Set within the Bill Bensley-designed luxury retreat on the Son Tra Peninsula, the festival will feature internationally acclaimed chefs, guest mixologists, exclusive dining residencies, and curated entertainment experiences, further strengthening the resort’s reputation as one of Southeast Asia’s most distinctive dining destinations while spotlighting Danang’s growing culinary scene.

At the heart of the festival is Bensley + Le Squer: The Art of Joie de Vivre, a two-night residency at La Maison 1888 that pairs the expressive visual art of celebrated architect and designer Bill Bensley with the cuisine of three-Michelin-starred Chef Christian Le Squer. Taking place on June 10 and 11, the experience marks a first for InterContinental Danang, bringing together fine art and haute cuisine in a singular showcase of craftsmanship and creativity.

“Artisan Stories reflects the way we see luxury today: immersive, experiential, and rooted in a strong sense of place,” said Seif Hamdy, General Manager of InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort. “By pairing world-class chefs, mixologists, and creative talents in one programme, we want to create something that goes beyond dining and gives guests a fresh way to experience the energy of Danang’s culinary scene.”

Where Art Meets the Table

At La Maison 1888, the festival’s concept unfolds through two distinct experiences.

From June 8 to 9, In Residence: Chef Christian Le Squer will spotlight the chef’s personal culinary philosophy, with Le Squer presenting the menu and sharing the inspiration behind each dish.

On June 10 and 11, Bensley + Le Squer: The Art of Joie de Vivre expands the experience as Bill Bensley joins the residency, unveiling and interpreting his artworks alongside Chef Christian’s cuisine, creating a dialogue between visual and culinary expression.

“Food and art have always felt like kindred spirits to me — both are about composition, storytelling, and a sense of place. Working with Christian Le Squer, it becomes a conversation between flavour and form, where each inspires the other in quietly unexpected ways,” said Bensley.

Chef Christian Le Squer echoed this creative synergy.

“My approach to creating a dish is very similar to that of artistic disciplines such as architecture or painting: I really enjoy adding colour, just like Bill Bensley,” said Le Squer. “I would like guests to take away a sense of the connection between two men, two cultures and a union between two ‘unmanageable’ artists.”

Culinary Constellations Across the Resort

The collaborative spirit of Artisan Stories extends to Tingara, the resort’s modern Japanese restaurant, where the Culinary Constellations: Six Hands Dinner series will bring together distinguished guest chefs from Hong Kong and Vietnam.

Featured chefs include Chef Loïc Portalier from Louise, Chef Cuong Nguyen from An’s Saigon, and Chef Hoang Tung from T.U.N.G Dining, working alongside Tingara’s culinary team led by Chef Junichi Yoshida.

On June 11, Tingara will host An Evening with Chef Junichi Yoshida, offering a more intimate dining experience centered on Yoshida’s precise and theatrical approach to modern Japanese cuisine, with Chef Hoang Tung featured as part of the evening.

Meanwhile, at L_o_n_g Bar, acclaimed guest mixologist Ohm Supapat from Bangkok’s F*nkytown will present a two-night cocktail showcase highlighting Vietnamese herbs and botanicals through inventive mixology.

“Events like Artisan Stories truly enrich our destination’s tourism offering as a leading hub for distinctive, experience-led travel, where international talent and local identity intersect,” said Nguyen Thi Hoai An, Deputy Director, Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

A Celebration of Creative Talent

Few figures define the spirit of Artisan Stories more than Chef Christian Le Squer, the culinary force behind La Maison 1888 and one of the leading names in contemporary French gastronomy. Born in Brittany, Le Squer’s philosophy of Joie de Vivre brings warmth, precision, and emotional depth to the festival.

Alongside him is Bill Bensley, whose architectural vision shaped InterContinental Danang and whose paintings and live artistic interpretation form a central part of the festival experience.

At Tingara, Chef Junichi Yoshida brings his signature balance of precision, theatre, and craftsmanship, while the broader festival is enriched by the presence of guest chefs Loïc Portalier, Cuong Nguyen, Hoang Tung, and mixologist Ohm Supapat.
