Global apparel retailer UNIQLO has announced the launch of its first collaboration with acclaimed Danish womenswear designer Cecilie Bahnsen, introducing a new 2026 Spring/Summer collection that blends romantic femininity with everyday functionality.
Built around the concept of “Shapes of Poetry,” the collection combines Cecilie Bahnsen’s signature elevated craftsmanship and contemporary yet timeless silhouettes with UNIQLO’s LifeWear philosophy of comfort, quality, and practicality. Known globally for her uniquely feminine and romantic aesthetic, Bahnsen reimagines womenswear through a modern lens designed for everyday living.
“I’m so happy to be collaborating with UNIQLO for the first time,” said Cecilie Bahnsen. “I’ve always designed pieces to be lived in, worn and cherished every day, just as all UNIQLO LifeWear embodies. I’m very excited to be able to share that with so many women and girls around the world through this collection.”
She added that working with Louise and Maria Thornfeldt for the campaign made the collaboration even more meaningful, as they naturally embodied the sisterhood that lies at the heart of the Cecilie Bahnsen brand.
Yukihiro Katsuta, Fast Retailing Group Senior Executive Officer and Head of R&D for UNIQLO, shared that the collaboration had been years in the making.
“Around the time UNIQLO opened its first store in Denmark in Copenhagen in 2019, I had an opportunity to meet Cecilie by chance,” Katsuta said. “I was immediately drawn to her approach to craftsmanship and hoped that one day we might have the opportunity to create something together. Seven years on, that long-standing connection has finally come to fruition in the form of this collaboration.”
He added that the collection reinterprets the warmth and handcrafted sensibility of Cecilie Bahnsen through a distinctly UNIQLO perspective.
The collection highlights modern femininity through iconic floral motifs, voluminous sleeves, frills, and shirring details. Dresses, tops, and skirts are designed with standout silhouettes that can be worn as statement single pieces or styled together as matching sets. High-quality cotton fabrics and elastic materials were carefully selected to ensure comfort without compromising design.
This collaboration also marks Cecilie Bahnsen’s first-ever line for girls. Inspired by her experience as a mother and long-standing fascination with childrenswear, the girls’ collection includes dresses, T-shirts, and skorts that reflect the adult designs while offering everyday comfort and practicality. Features such as adjustable waistbands and side pockets make the pieces both stylish and functional.
The womenswear lineup includes cut-and-sewn pieces priced from PHP 990 to PHP 1,490, skirts at PHP 1,990, and dresses ranging from PHP 1,990 to PHP 2,990. For girls, cut-and-sewn items range from PHP 690 to PHP 790, skorts are priced at PHP 990, and dresses range from PHP 1,490 to PHP 1,990.
The UNIQLO x Cecilie Bahnsen 2026 Spring/Summer collection will officially launch on May 22, 2026, and will be available in all UNIQLO stores nationwide, with select items available only in select branches, as well as online through UNIQLO.com and the UNIQLO app.
