Dyson has unveiled the Supersonic™ Travel hair dryer, a compact styling innovation designed for modern travelers who want salon-level results without compromising hair health. Featuring global voltage compatibility and Dyson’s signature engineering, the device delivers fast, controlled drying performance anywhere in the world—whether at the gym, on weekend trips, or long-haul journeys.

Compact design, full performance

At 32% smaller and 25% lighter than Dyson’s full-sized Supersonic™ hair dryer, and weighing less than a can of soda, the new device is designed for portability. It fits easily into handbags, carry-ons, and cabin luggage, making it ideal for frequent travelers.

Despite its compact form, the Supersonic™ Travel hair dryer maintains Dyson’s high-performance drying capabilities. It also supports attachment compatibility with existing Dyson Supersonic™ and Supersonic™ Nural devices, allowing users to bring their preferred styling tools on the go.

With automatic voltage adaptation, the device is engineered for seamless performance across different countries, ensuring consistent results wherever users travel.

Intelligent heat control for hair protection

Excessive heat remains one of the leading causes of hair damage. Unlike conventional dryers that rely on uncontrolled heat, the Supersonic™ Travel hair dryer features Dyson’s intelligent heat control system, which measures airflow temperature 100 times per second. This prevents extreme heat exposure while ensuring fast, even drying that helps maintain smooth, glossy hair.

Built on Dyson’s hair science legacy

Since the launch of the original Supersonic™ hair dryer in 2016, Dyson has redefined hair styling through engineering innovation. It pairs with the Dyson Omega™ leave-in conditioning spray mini, formulated with the Dyson Oli7™ blend of omega-rich oils, including sunflower oil grown on Dyson farms. The formula helps nourish hair, reduce frizz, and protect against humidity—ideal for changing travel conditions.

Together, the styling tool and treatment system are designed to maintain hair health across climates, from humid destinations to dry cabin air.

The Supersonic™ Travel supports a growing trend toward effortless, low-maintenance travel styling. According to Dyson Global Styling Ambassador Irinel de Leon, the device enables styles such as “air-sculpted waves,” which balance natural movement with controlled finish.

The Dyson Supersonic™ Travel hair dryer will be available with a Smoothing nozzle attachment, with additional attachments—including Diffuser, Styling concentrator, Flyaway smoother, Gentle air attachment, and Wide-tooth comb—sold separately.

Consumers can experience the device at Dyson Demo Stores and select retail partners. A special launch event will be held at SM Megamall Mega Fashion Hall from May 15–17, 2026, featuring styling zones and expert demonstrations for global travelers.
