TEAM WANG design introduces “RESET,” the seventh chapter of its ongoing COOKIES series, continuing the evolving narrative shaped by creative director Jackson Wang. Following the introspective tone of “ACCEPTANCE,” this latest release shifts into a quieter, more deliberate phase—one centered on recalibration and the emergence of a renewed internal framework.

From Acceptance to Recalibration

Where “ACCEPTANCE” explored the coexistence of dualities—light and shadow, certainty and doubt—“RESET” focuses on what comes after. Rather than building forward through accumulation, the concept returns to a foundational state, redefining perception as the starting point.

In this chapter, perception precedes intention, and clarity replaces reaction. The emphasis is not on visible transformation, but on the subtle reordering of internal systems—where past influences no longer dictate present decisions. “RESET” represents a shift toward structure, discipline, and quiet clarity.

A Muted Visual Language

The collection is defined by a subdued, neutral palette inspired by natural sedimentation. Shades of ash grey, gravel, dark moss green, deep brown, taupe, and khaki create a tonal system that feels grounded and understated.

Low-saturation hues soften emotional intensity, allowing material, structure, and construction to take precedence. In this context, color becomes less about expression and more about foundation—supporting the collection’s emphasis on restraint and precision.

This shift is also reflected in the brand’s identity. Prominent logos give way to a more understated approach, transitioning from “TEAM WANG design” to the abbreviated “TWD,” signaling a move toward a more internalized and instinctive brand language.

Precision in Form and Detail

“RESET” reinforces its philosophy through consistent structural elements. Metal buttons appear throughout the collection, acting as both functional components and visual anchors that introduce continuity and weight.

Silhouettes strike a balance between formality and ease, combining tailored precision with everyday wearability. By avoiding exaggerated shapes or performative design gestures, the collection maintains a sense of stability and longevity.

Redefining the Meaning of “RESET”

Rather than signaling reinvention or rejection, “RESET” establishes a new default state—one that emerges naturally after acceptance. It reflects a deeper cognitive shift within TEAM WANG design, redefining how the brand approaches creation, perception, and progress.

Through refined restraint and a clearer structural language, COOKIES 7 captures a moment of internal alignment while laying the groundwork for future creative direction.

A Physical Interpretation: RESET Concept Space

To extend the concept beyond fashion, TEAM WANG design will launch a limited-time immersive installation at JULU 758 in Shanghai from April 25 to May 10.

The “RESET Concept Space” translates the idea of “Reinventing Self-Perception” into a guided, multi-stage experience. Visitors move through four phases—“ZERO OUT,” “COORDINATE,” “REBUILD,” and “RESET”—each designed to gradually recalibrate both mental and physical awareness.

Set within a black-toned environment, the space minimizes external stimuli through controlled lighting and low-reflection materials. Transparent and translucent elements, combined with LED screens and spatial installations, create a dynamic interplay between reality and observation.

At the center of the experience is an interactive installation that captures and projects visitors in real time, placing them simultaneously as observer and subject—an embodiment of the “RESET” philosophy.
