TP in the Philippines (formerly Teleperformance), a global leader in digital business services, reaffirmed its commitment to cultural inclusion and community engagement through its support of the annual Bacolaodiat Festival.
Held in celebration of the Chinese New Year, the vibrant three-day festival gathered thousands of locals and visitors in the heart of Bacolod for a colorful showcase of Filipino-Chinese heritage, traditions, and shared history. Organized by the local government and the Filipino-Chinese community of Bacolod, the festival featured traditional performances, food fairs, corporate booths, and cultural exhibits promoting prosperity, unity, and goodwill.
Elevating the Festival Experience
Building on its successful participation last year, TP elevated its presence in this year’s festivities by mounting interactive and immersive booths designed to engage festivalgoers through culturally inspired visuals, activities, and storytelling elements highlighting the significance of the Chinese New Year.
“Bacolod has been one of TP’s key hubs in the Philippines for many years, and our presence at the Bacolaodiat Festival reflects our deep roots in the city. We invested in this celebration not only to honor its rich cultural heritage, but to reaffirm our long-term commitment to a community that has played a vital role in our growth—bringing together tradition and innovation in a way that reflects who we are today,” said Levi Trio, Senior Marketing Manager of TP in the Philippines.
Festival attendees enjoyed the Interactive Zodiac Match Game, a fast-paced digital challenge matching the 12 Chinese Zodiac signs, and the tech-forward “Fortune & Frosting” Virtual Tarot Reading booth. Lucky participants also received exclusive TP merchandise through the Virtual Lucky Ang Pau activity.
From photo-worthy installations inspired by Chinese symbols of luck and abundance to engaging community activities, TP’s booths became a popular highlight, drawing families, young professionals, and cultural enthusiasts throughout the celebration.
Strengthening Community Ties
TP’s Bacolod site, operating since 2006, has provided livelihood opportunities to thousands of residents across the city and nearby regions for nearly two decades.
“By actively participating in local cultural events, we at TP believe in honoring traditions and cultural identities that strengthen community ties and promote mutual respect. As the Bacolaodiat Festival continues to grow in scale and significance, TP in the Philippines remains committed to celebrating milestones alongside the communities we serve. Through initiatives that honor heritage, promote inclusion, and bring people together, we reinforce our ideals of being not just an employer, but a true community partner in Bacolod,” said Jeffrey Johnson, Chief People Officer of TP in the Philippines.
Through its continued engagement in cultural celebrations such as the Bacolaodiat Festival, TP underscores its role not only as a business leader but also as an advocate for diversity, inclusion, and community development across the Philippines.
