The Department of Trade and Industry’s Bureau of Market Development and Promotions (DTI-BMDPO) kicks off the 2026 national trade fair calendar with the DTI-Bagong Pilipinas National Trade Fair, running February 18–22, 2026, at Megatrade Halls 1–3, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City. This annual showcase brings together the country’s top micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), providing a platform to expand market access, strengthen buyer linkages, and promote high-quality, locally made products under the Bagong Pilipinas and Tatak Pinoy initiatives. Admission is free and open to the public.
Building on a Year of Strong Results
In 2025, DTI-BMDPO organized ten national trade fairs, alongside strategic international participations, generating Php 665.13 million in sales, confirmed orders, and ongoing negotiations, benefiting 1,774 MSMEs nationwide. The fairs attracted over 190,000 buyers and visitors, reinforcing long-term market relationships and brand growth for Filipino enterprises.
Curated Showcase of Sustainable Filipino Products
The 2026 National Trade Fair highlights eco-friendly, design-driven, and high-value Filipino products. Partnering with DTI Regional and Provincial Offices, the event features 300 exhibitors catering to retailers, distributors, resellers, exporters, and general consumers.
A centerpiece is the upgraded Philippine Sustainability Pavilion, showcasing furniture, textiles, fashion, and handicrafts crafted from coconut-based materials, engineered bamboo, natural fibers, plant-based dyes, and native grasses. Innovative uses of recyclable and reusable materials are also on display, transformed into functional items for homes, offices, and commercial spaces.
Visitors can participate in learning sessions on business development, logistics, and environmental sustainability, as well as enjoy daily craft workshops, product demonstrations, and cultural performances—celebrating Filipino creativity while emphasizing techniques, materials, and traditions behind local products.
Strengthening B2B Connections Through Buyer’s Day 2026
Complementing the fair is DTI Buyer’s Day 2026: Sourcing and Connections, a pre-event activity designed to foster B2B networking, sourcing, and partnerships between MSMEs and institutional buyers. This event also recognizes corporate partners who consistently support DTI trade initiatives, further integrating consumer and institutional markets.
Trade Fairs as Engines of MSME Growth
Beyond retail exposure, DTI-BMDPO trade fairs enable MSMEs to test products, refine branding, adjust pricing strategies, and respond to consumer demand in real time. Repeated participation across multiple fairs enhances visibility, sales performance, and preparedness for domestic and export markets.
Asec. Nylah Rizza Bautista, Supervising Head of DTI-BMDPO, stated, “With thirteen trade shows planned for 2026, we are strengthening the trade fair program as a system—combining consumer-facing platforms with buyer sourcing and networking opportunities. This enables MSMEs to move beyond single-event participation toward sustained market integration.”
Anchored on the Bagong Pilipinas Vision
The 2026 National Trade Fair reflects DTI’s ongoing commitment to sustainable production, elevated Filipino design, and inclusive market access for MSMEs. As the opening event of the year, it sets the tone for stronger buyer engagement, expanded sourcing opportunities, and meaningful business outcomes for Filipino enterprises.
