Manila, Philippines – Committed to spreading warmth and hope, Skyro, a trusted SEC-registered lending app, recently spent time with pediatric patients at the National Children’s Hospital through its community initiative, SkyroShares, with the support of celebrity ambassador Dennis Trillo. The activity aimed to bring comfort, companionship, and joy to children and families navigating challenging health journeys.
“Skyro’s mission goes beyond lending. We aim to give hope and happiness, especially to communities who need extra care,” said Nasim Aliev, Skyro co-founder and co-CEO. “Real happiness comes not from material things, but from compassion, connection, and giving time to others.”
For Dennis Trillo, the experience was profoundly moving. “Spending time with the young patients gave me a renewed sense of hope. Despite their circumstances, they showed me how to live every day with happiness,” he shared.
Skyro employees visited around 240 pediatric patients from various departments, including OB, Neonatal, Cancer, Respiratory, Surgery, and PICU/NICU. Through conversations, shared meals, and personal interaction, the children were able to feel valued, seen, and cared for.
Celine Bejino of the hospital’s Medical Social Service said, “We’re grateful to Skyro for giving hope and happiness to the young patients and their families. We hope this experience strengthened them throughout their recovery journey.”
Beyond personal visits, Skyro extended over ₱600,000 in donations, including Christmas baskets, specialized medical nutrition, and essential hospital supplies such as oxygen support, suction machines, and tracheostomy tubes. The company also conducted a toy donation drive and provided cash assistance for uncovered medicines and transport support for families returning home after treatment.
This initiative reflects Skyro’s commitment to uplift Filipino families—not only through fair and accessible financial tools but also by fostering compassion and support in the communities that need it most.
