GCash has partnered with Queen Bee Capital (QBC), a leading Japanese financial services provider, to make cross-border transactions more convenient for overseas Filipinos living in Japan. Through the collaboration, Filipinos can now remit funds directly to their families’ GCash accounts in the Philippines or cash in to their own GCash wallets using either their +81 Japanese mobile numbers or Philippine mobile numbers.
Queen Bee Capital operates PayForex, a trusted cross-border payment platform launched in Japan in 2011. Known for its reliability and extensive network across Asia and beyond, PayForex enables seamless international money transfers from Japan to multiple destinations worldwide. Under the partnership, GCash has been integrated into the PayForex platform, allowing overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) to send money digitally—eliminating the need to visit physical remittance centers.
Many Filipinos in Japan already have Japanese bank accounts linked to PayForex, offering a familiar and secure transfer experience. In addition to bank transfers, customers can also fund remittances through participating convenience stores. These flexible payment options make it easier for users to send money directly to their families’ GCash wallets in the Philippines.
Once received, funds can be instantly used at over 5.2 million QR merchant partners, 520 GLife partner merchants, and 339,000 cash-in and cash-out outlets nationwide, giving families immediate access to daily essentials, bills payment, savings, and other financial services.
“At GCash, we prioritize financial inclusion for all Filipinos, whether in the Philippines or abroad,” said Paul Albano, GCash International General Manager. “This partnership empowers OFWs in Japan to send fast, secure remittances while allowing their families to manage their finances conveniently within the GCash app.”
Through its growing global partnerships, GCash continues to break barriers in digital finance, reinforcing its commitment to accessible, secure, and seamless financial services for Filipinos worldwide.
