The Philippines marked a major step in strengthening its tourism investment strategy with its first-ever participation in the Future Hospitality Summit (FHS) World 2025, held from October 27 to 29 at Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai. Led by the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines, the country’s debut signals a determined push to position the Philippines as one of Asia’s emerging frontiers for hotel and resort development.
TPB Chief Operating Officer Maria Margarita Montemayor Nograles highlighted that the participation underscores TPB’s efforts to elevate the Philippines onto global platforms that shape the future of tourism. “This debut shows that the Philippines is ready to compete for quality hospitality investments. TPB is committed to promoting the opportunities, destinations, and developments that will shape the future of our tourism industry,” she said.
FHS World is one of the hospitality sector’s most influential gatherings, bringing together hotel owners, operators, developers, and investors for three days of discussions and deal-making. Its 2025 edition drew delegates from more than 60 countries and over 650 companies, reflecting strong global interest in hospitality expansion.
The Philippine delegation introduced a dedicated country space designed with solihiya and capiz accents, lush greenery, and digital showcases—offering a warm and modern expression of Filipino creativity. Representing TPB were Special Envoy for Arts and Culture Karen Santos and Special Envoy for Trade and Investment Anna Kathryna Yu-Pimentel, welcomed by Philippine Ambassador to the UAE Alfonso Ver and other officials.
Private sector participation from Ayala Land Hospitality, Artstream Hospitality Management Group, Megaworld Hotels and Resorts, and Robinsons Hotels and Resorts highlighted ongoing developments across key destinations.
Key engagements included a Destination Overview Session on emerging investment opportunities and a private investor workshop supported by PAGCOR, offering deeper insights into future development sites and market trends.
Through this inaugural presence at FHS World, the Philippines opened new conversations with global investors—solidifying its position as a rising destination for strategic tourism and hospitality investments.
