The Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines brought together its members and partners for TPB Members’ Night 2025: Community in Action at Solaire Resort North, celebrating a year of collaboration and reaffirming the industry’s commitment to sustainability. With the theme “Creative Upcycling,” the event underscored responsible tourism and climate action as core principles shaping TPB’s direction moving forward.

In her message, TPB Chief Operating Officer Maria Margarita Montemayor Nograles emphasized that this year’s gathering was a moment to honor shared accomplishments and renew the community’s pledge to champion sustainable, people-centered tourism. She noted that member-led initiatives have strengthened local economies, empowered communities, and supported recovery in regions affected by calamities. “Tourism becomes truly meaningful when it uplifts communities, protects our natural heritage, and is pursued with purpose,” Nograles said.

Throughout 2025, TPB members advanced responsible travel through familiarization tours and invitational programs across Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Sur, Tacloban City, Samar, Davao, Ilocos, Palawan, and Negros Island—helping preserve cultural narratives, protect biodiversity, and enhance destination resilience. Members also took part in CSR efforts in La Union, Batanes, and Catanduanes, contributing to community restoration and livelihood renewal.

TPB further highlighted its environmental advocacy, including support for the Philippine Tarsier Foundation through the country’s participation in World Expo 2025 Osaka. This aligns with the agency’s sustainability initiatives, such as reducing single-use plastics during tours, promoting reusable materials, and strengthening climate-responsive programs.

With over 300 members in attendance, the event reinforced a unified vision for a climate-conscious future. “Our mission is far from over,” Nograles said. “Together, we can ensure that the destinations we love endure for generations.”
