Globe marked another milestone in innovation and talent development with Globe DevCon 2025, the third annual Globe Developers Conference held at The Globe Tower. With the theme “Harnessing the Power to Create,” the full-day event brought together over 1,000 developers, engineers, and students to explore how AI-driven technologies can address real-world challenges and make a meaningful impact.
More than a tech gathering, DevCon 2025 served as a launchpad for student innovators, empowering them to dream boldly, build purposefully, and connect with industry leaders shaping the future of digital progress. Anne Calma, Head of Marketing Youth Cultures at Globe, said, “By giving students access to real-world tech and mentors, we’re not just inspiring them, we’re investing in the future they’re ready to shape.”
Youth participation was strong, with 194 student attendees from 27 universities nationwide, including UP Manila, Polytechnic University of the Philippines, National University, University of Batangas, STI Lucena, and Our Lady of Fatima University-Valenzuela. “Innovation isn’t just about coding, it’s about creating change that matters,” shared John Michael G. Papa, a senior student at Pateros Technological College. “Globe DevCon 2025 sparked a fire in me to dream bigger and create impactful innovation.”
Students engaged in challenges, attending breakout sessions, sharing insights on social media, and redeeming and donating Globe rewards points via the GlobeOne App. Exhibits like MongoDB database solutions, AWS AI stylist, and the Huawei Robodog showcased the real-world potential of emerging technologies. DevCon 2025 also featured solution showcases, fireside chats, and tech demos developed within Globe, with support from partners such as AWS, Couchbase, Huawei, MongoDB, Google Cloud, Amdocs, Oracle, Searce, Cisco, and F5.
Aligned with Globe’s #GoForIt campaign, DevCon 2025 continues to inspire students to turn ambition into action, fostering creativity, collaboration, and growth in the country’s next generation of digital changemakers.
