For over five decades, Makati has welcomed the holidays by lighting up Ayala Avenue—a tradition signaling the start of the Christmas season for many Filipino families. This year, Ayala Land and Make It Makati present Makati In Color: Where Christmas Tradition Meets Imagination, a vibrant celebration reinterpreting Filipino heritage through unexpected colors, patterns, and forms. Inspired by the sarimanok and anahaw, the installations reflect Makati’s character as a hub of creativity and innovation. “This year’s theme celebrates Filipino heritage expressed in a modern, contemporary way, much like Makati itself,” said Meean Dy, President and CEO of Ayala Land.

The festivities go beyond lights. Makati In Color brings a full season of performances, installations, markets, and creative activities across Ayala Avenue, Ayala Triangle Gardens, Paseo de Roxas, Makati Avenue, and even the flagship malls starting with Greenbelt. The curated Paskong Likha program transforms Ayala Triangle into a living canvas, where art projections, craft sessions, and performances by both mainstream and indie Filipino artists create a textured, immersive experience.

The celebrations opened on November 13 with the lighting of Ayala Avenue, featuring performances by Cris Villonco, Shiela Valderrama, Arman Ferrer, the Chorale Society of Makati, and Mari Dance. Weekend and weekday performances continue throughout the season, including orchestral shows, pop and indie acts, music in the park, outdoor cinema, and a New Year’s Eve countdown.

Christmas markets at Paseo de Roxas highlight Filipino artisanal food, local makers, and Franco-Filipino cultural experiences. From December 15 to 23, Simbang Gabi masses bring the community together in reflection and gratitude.

This year, Christmas in Makati is bigger, brighter, and more colorful than ever—a season-long celebration of creativity, innovation, and community. Experience Makati In Color from November 13 to January 11, 2026, across Ayala Avenue, Ayala Triangle Gardens, Ayala Center Makati, and Circuit Makati, and follow Make It Makati on social media for schedules and updates.
