In the Philippines, All Saints’ Day, or Undas, is more than just a long weekend—it’s a heartfelt tradition that brings families together. Every year, Filipinos return to their hometowns to honor loved ones who’ve passed, turning cemeteries into vibrant spaces of remembrance, prayer, and reunion.
According to AirAsia MOVE, 81% of travelers who booked flights from October 30 to November 2, 2025, are heading to domestic destinations, while 19% are flying abroad. And while Holy Week still reigns as the country’s biggest travel season, Undas isn’t far behind—its bookings now reach 53% of Holy Week’s total, showing how travel has become an essential part of modern Filipino traditions.
Manila, Cebu, Tacloban, Iloilo, and Bacolod emerged as the top origin cities, with Manila also ranking as a top destination, home to the Manila North Cemetery, which drew 1.6 million visitors last year. For those traveling further, Boracay, Taipei, Tokyo, Osaka, Kuala Lumpur, and Seoul topped the list of getaways—proof that remembrance and recreation can beautifully coexist.
Most travelers booked their trips two to four weeks ahead, with October 30 emerging as the peak travel day. Nearly half planned three to four-day getaways, while 21% extended to five or six days, blending time for reflection with a well-earned break.
