The energy continued to rise at Manila Fashion Week 2025 as Day 2 unfolded at SM Aura Premier, featuring powerful back-to-back showcases from OXGN and Chris Nick. Together, the two brands highlighted the rich duality of contemporary Filipino design — the dynamic edge of streetwear meeting the refined precision of couture craftsmanship.

At Samsung Hall, OXGN brought its signature street-luxe aesthetic to life with a collection grounded in utility, rebellion, and effortless cool. Textural contrasts and fluid silhouettes reflected the brand’s modern, global sensibility while staying true to its Filipino streetwear roots. “We really want to stick to our roots,” OXGN shared. “Even with so many streetwear brands today, we’re still here and we’re here to represent not just the streetwear aesthetic but also the communities that build it.” The brand hopes audiences take away the message that despite differences, we all share the same need to breathe — the need for oxygen.

Later that evening, Chris Nick transformed the Fashion Tent into a scene of sharp sophistication and bold sensuality. His collection — inspired by hedonistic pleasures and “sex club” culture — explored shades of brown and ivory, symbolizing skin tones and contrast. “It’s polished and put together, elegant yet raunchy and sensual — in the most CHRIS NICK way,” he explained. The designer, known for reimagining the tuxedo, delivered his signature blend of structure and sensuality with commanding confidence, underscoring his belief that “sex sells — and it always will.”

Day 2 marks the midpoint of the four-day celebration of Filipino fashion and creativity, continuing through October 19 with showcases from Iñigo, DBTK, Viña Romero, and Randolf.
