UNIQLO has welcomed actress and singer Alexa Ilacad as its newest Local Celebrity Partner, representing the brand’s Bra Top lineup. The actress was introduced during an exclusive panel discussion with Bianca Gonzales-Intal and stylist Kat Cruz-Villanueva, where they discussed the support modern women give and receive, highlighting the effortless, built-in support of UNIQLO Bra Tops. The discussion centered on inclusive styling and stories of self-expression, as well as the struggles that accompany them, highlighting how the Bra Top empowers modern women with confidence.

Inspired by the grace and strength of women, the event brought everyone together to celebrate one another—sharing stories from different perspectives and highlighting Bra Top pieces designed to support every woman in her everyday endeavors.

“Especially growing up in front of the camera as a former child actress, I was very conscious about my looks,” Alexa said. “People tend to compare and pit you against your peers, and sometimes you can’t help but do the same. It’s an ongoing battle, but time gives you strength and wisdom to handle things better.”

“When I was starting, I also had my struggles in finding my space in this industry,” Kat said. “My approach is to put in the effort and let my work speak for itself. When you’ve given your all and learned from your mistakes, you can be confident. When you know who you are, you can express yourself.”

Bianca then asked about the importance of having someone or something in the face of these challenges, from receiving encouragement from core groups to having clothes designed to provide effortless support.

“With our hectic schedule, we have to move fast, so it does help when you have to wear something easy to put on. Now, if this clothing also makes you feel good and not just look good, then that’s a huge difference, and I have experienced this with UNIQLO Bra Top,” Alexa said. “When I put it on, I get to just focus on my work because I know my body is secure and I feel comfortable.”

Kat said that having something so reliable makes her work as a stylist much easier. “When I am wearing it, I don’t calculate my moves. I feel free,” she said. “It’s also very easy to mix and match. So, when I have some styling gigs, I always include the Bra Tops because they look good and models love them.”

This season, UNIQLO Bra Top champions body positivity and everyday versatility, delivering comfort and all-day confidence. “Offering you comfort and versatility, Bra Top is a timeless piece regardless of the season. It’s a piece of clothing that’s not only iconic in its own sense, but also an essential that effortlessly provides you with confidence and style,” said UNIQLO Philippines Marketing Director Jan Jizelle Ang.

The Ribbed Cropped Bra Top, for instance, is crafted from casual, contouring ribbed fabric that complements every body type, while providing 360° chest support for a secure and flattering fit. Another knitted option perfect for the season is the Washable Knit Bra Top, which Bianca chose for the event. It’s machine-washable for easy care, and while sleeveless, bra straps won’t show through, as it also styles well on its own. There are several AIRism options available, including the AIRism Bra Sleeveless Top and the AIRism Bra Camisole, which feature stay-fresh comfort. Both are designed without an under-band at the back for a sleek, comfortable look.

Extending the conversation beyond the event, the insightful discussion between Bianca, Alexa, and Kat on confidence, comfort, and self-expression will also be featured on Bianca Gonzales’ Paano Ba ‘To? podcast. The entire conversation will be available on Facebook by the end of October and on Spotify by November, inviting listeners to reflect on their own journeys and be reminded constantly to feel supported—wherever they are—with the UNIQLO Bra Top.
