The 16th Regional Travel Fair (RTF), organized by the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines, successfully wrapped up its three-day run in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, from November 14–16, 2025, generating more than ₱130.1 million in sales leads.

Anchored on MIMAROPA’s regional identity, “Your Destination of Choice,” this year’s RTF showcased the rich natural landscapes, culture, and tourism potential of Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan through a blend of business engagements, exhibitions, and destination experiences.

“Since 2018, the RTF has been a driving force in promoting domestic tourism,” said TPB COO Maria Margarita Montemayor Nograles. “Here in Puerto Princesa, we continue that mission by creating opportunities that uplift local communities and inspire travelers to rediscover the Philippines.”

The event kicked off with business-to-business (B2B) sessions at the Princesa Garden Island Resort and Spa, where more than 2,000 appointments were conducted between 52 accredited buyers and 67 sellers from travel agencies, tour operators, and tourism establishments. Representatives from various regions, including DOT Region XII Director Nelia Arina and DOT MIMAROPA Assistant Regional Director Gladys Quesea, attended the gathering.

The B2B activities were followed by the business-to-consumer (B2C) fair at Robinsons Palawan on November 15–16, attracting over 4,000 visitors who explored exclusive travel deals, interactive presentations, and cultural showcases from MIMAROPA and other participating regions.

Participants also joined familiarization tours highlighting Palawan’s eco-tourism and community-based enterprises, including visits to Iwahig Penal Farm, Mitra’s Ranch, Binuatan Creations, Baker’s Hill, and a scenic island-hopping experience in Port Barton, San Vicente.

The event concluded with a turnover ceremony to the next RTF host, the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), marking another step in strengthening regional tourism partnerships. TPB reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Department of Tourism’s efforts to expand tourism opportunities nationwide.
