PLDT Global Corporation has partnered with its digital platform Tindahan ni Bossing (TinBo) to honor the emotional struggles of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their mothers. The platform has released a touching tribute video, which has gone viral with over two million views, showcasing how TinBo helps bridge emotional and physical distances between OFWs and their mothers. The video highlights the emotional struggles faced by OFWs and their mothers worldwide.

“Many of our OFWs are women—mothers and daughters who make the ultimate sacrifice of being away from their families to provide a better life,” said Albert V. Villa-Real, President and CEO of PLDT Global, the international arm of the Philippines’ largest fully integrated telco network, PLDT Inc. “We honor and celebrate their immeasurable contributions to their loved ones and our country.”

To make Mother’s Day even more special, TinBo also offered free digital greeting cards to users who made purchases through the app and online marketplace—small gestures that carried significant meaning for families. Meanwhile, subscribers abroad enjoyed discounts on select e-vouchers from beloved Philippine brands, making it easier to send love home with just a few taps.

On-ground, TinBo partnered with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) for the “Araw ng Alaga kay Nanay,” a special gift-giving event at the OFW Lounges in NAIA Terminals 1 and 3 and the OWWA NCR office. Care kits and sweet treats were given to 300 OFW moms, reminding them they are seen, valued, and celebrated.

Launched by PLDT Global, TinBo is a one-stop digital marketplace that empowers Filipinos abroad to support their families in the Philippines through load, bill payment, e-gifts, and more. These recent initiatives continue to reinforce PLDT Global’s mission: to deliver meaningful, borderless care to all Filipinos worldwide—one thoughtful gesture at a time.
