Makati Medical Center (MakatiMed) has become the first hospital in the Philippines to be accredited under the Joint Commission International’s 8th Edition Accreditation Standards. The accreditation sets a higher benchmark for quality and patient safety, focusing on risk reduction strategies, data-driven performance improvement, and patient-centered care. The hospital completed its fifth accreditation survey on February 17-21, 2025, commended for its best practices, commitment to quality, and patient safety dedication.
