The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is launching Food Festival 2025, a three-day event celebrating Filipino gastronomy and local food micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The festival will feature over 250 exhibitors nationwide, blending culinary tradition with technology and innovation. The DTI Malikhaing Pinoy Website, a key milestone for the Philippine Gastronomy Creative Industry, will also be launched, serving as the “National Gateway to Filipino Creativity and Business.” The website offers a registry of creatives, access to learning opportunities, and funding programs for creative enterprises.
Anchored in the Tatak Pinoy Strategy Program, the festival supports the acceleration of MSME competitiveness and digital adoption. It serves as a platform to showcase heritage-inspired food products from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao through curated exhibits, live cooking demonstrations, and the featured Kayumanggi Philippine heritage recipe book. It also celebrates Iloilo City’s designation as a UNESCO Creative City for Gastronomy, underscoring the region’s cultural and culinary heritage.
To equip MSMEs for long-term growth, the festival features a dedicated digital collaboration zone with technology partners, providing access to tools for e-commerce, logistics, digital payments, and marketing. It further promotes innovation and storytelling, encouraging food MSMEs to embrace heritage-driven product development while scaling through digital platforms.
DTI Food Festival 2025 is more than a food show—it’s a cultural celebration of Filipino creativity and resilience. It aims to transform MSMEs into globally competitive brands by integrating technology and cultural identity.
While distinct from the National Food Fair (NFF), the Food Festival 2025 shares the DDTI’s vision to uplift MSMEs. It focuses on immersive experiences, digital integration, and creative gastronomy, signaling a more forward-looking approach supporting Filipino food entrepreneurs.
The fair is expected to draw participation from MSMEs across the National Capital Region, Western Visayas (particularly Iloilo City), and other key regions such as Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, and CALABARZON, reflecting its broad national scope.
The DTI invites the public to experience this unique fusion of Filipino culinary heritage and digital innovation. Together, let’s celebrate the regional Filipino food and the future of Filipino food, get exciting previews via DTI-BDTI-BMDPO’s:
