The Philippines has launched its first-ever live performance façade at Expo 2025 Osaka, featuring Ballet Philippines. From now until June 15, visitors can witness the visually arresting performance, where dancers transform the pavilion’s exterior into a living stage. Nestled behind intricate woven panels, the performances surprise and delight audiences with their multisensory storytelling, transforming the pavilion into a living stage.
“This is an embodiment of our theme, Nature, Culture, and Community: Woven Together for a Better Future,” said Carlo Calma, lead architect and designer of the Philippine Pavilion. “It’s a powerful celebration of movement, Filipino identity, and artistic collaboration—seen in a way like never before at a World Expo,” Maria Margarita Montemayor Nograles, COO of the Tourism Promotions Board Philippines and Secretary General of the Philippine Organizing Committee, added.
With only a limited number of showings until mid-June, this unique experience offers Expo visitors a rare chance to see world-class Filipino talent animated through architectural innovation.
Catch it while you can. The stage is the building. The performers, proudly Filipino. And the experience—unforgettable.
The Philippine Organizing Committee—led by the Department of Tourism and the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines—commissioned a visionary design team, with Carlo Calma Consultancy, Inc. as Lead Architectural Firm and Designer; Chochay Garcia as Creative Producer; Architect Yuki Kanou as Executive Architect and Lead Project Manager; and Tellart as Guest Experience Designer.
