Everyday expenses are fueling the growing adoption of digital credit in the Philippines, with more than 100,000 Filipinos now using SkyroCredit to pay for groceries, fast food, medicines, fuel, and other daily essentials.
Building on this momentum, Skyro, an SEC-registered fintech company, has opened SkyroCredit to all eligible customers, giving more Filipinos access to flexible digital credit for routine purchases.
Accepted anywhere QR Ph payments are available, SkyroCredit allows customers to shop now and pay later, offering up to 45 days of 0% interest.
Everyday spending drives digital credit adoption
Skyro said consumers are increasingly relying on digital credit for routine transactions.
Among the platform’s most frequently used merchants are:
- Jollibee – over 93,000 transactions
- DALI Supermarket – more than 45,000 transactions
- Mercury Drug – over 32,000 transactions
- Petron, Shell, and Caltex – more than 33,000 combined transactions
Other popular merchants include McDonald’s, SM, and Watsons, highlighting how digital credit is becoming part of everyday spending habits.
Flexible credit with cashback rewards
Eligible customers may receive an initial credit limit ranging from ₱1,000 to ₱10,000, with the opportunity to increase their available credit up to ₱100,000 through regular and responsible use.
SkyroCredit also rewards spending by giving users 1% cashback for every ₱100 spent. Once cashback reaches ₱100, customers can use it to pay for future purchases through the Skyro app.
“Our goal with SkyroCredit is to give more Filipinos easier access to flexible credit, especially at a time when everyday expenses continue to rise and financial priorities continue to evolve,” said Nasim Aliev, Skyro co-founder and co-CEO.
He added that expanding SkyroCredit to more customers reflects the company’s commitment to making formal credit more accessible, digital, and customer-centric while encouraging responsible borrowing and repayment habits.
Flexible repayment options
Customers can choose how they settle their balances depending on their financial situation.
They may either:
- Pay the full amount used before the due date, or
- Make the minimum payment and pay the remaining balance over time.
According to Iya Lelyanova, Skyro’s Head of Marketing, the combination of interest-free financing and cashback rewards makes SkyroCredit one of the more competitive digital credit options available today.
“With up to 45 days of 0% interest and 1% instant cashback on every transaction, it combines flexibility and rewards to deliver real value to customers,” she said.
